Joe Burrow offered fans some relief with his training camp appearance this week after going down with a calf strain a few days ago.
The quarterback is not taking part in the action while he recovers, but he is remaining visible and was spotted at camp on Monday with a compression sleeve on his calf.
According to Paul Dehner of The Athletic, Burrow “generally looked normal walking around.”
Dehner did explain that this was expected, yet it is still encouraging for Bengals fans as the player is not struggling to move about amid fears they had lost him for the 2023 season.
Any positive update following the injury comes across a huge win.
Fans had every right to be worried given Joe’s importance to the team. The QB has thrown for 11,774 yards and 82 touchdowns in three seasons, helping the Bengals to a Super Bowl and two AFC Championship Games.

Head coach Zac Taylor had indicated that the team would add another QB while Burrow remains out, stating that the former LSU star will be sidelined for “several weeks” and refusing to elaborate.
They have since signed former Miami Dolphins and XFL signal-caller Reid Sinnet.
Burrow is unlikely to feature in preseason, especially now that he’s up for contract negotiations with Cincinnati. But he should be ready to roll once the regular season kicks off.
