Hold on to your seats and pack your patience, Cowboys fans.
Ezekiel Elliott might be chilling in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for awhile because his reps and the Dallas Cowboys organization are nowhere close to agreeing on any particular aspect of a new deal, according to NFL insider Jane Slater.
Slater noted they are far apart on “everything,” including contract length and guarantees.
Zeke has two years remaining on his contract, including the fifth-year option on his rookie deal worth $9.1 million. During the 2018 season, he amassed an NFL-best 1,434 rushing yards to go with a career-high 567 receiving yards.
It looks like both sides are willing to budge.
