The NFL is weighing possible discipline against Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams for shoving a credentialed photographer on the way to the visitors tunnel after Las Vegas’ loss to the Chiefs last Monday.
The star wide receiver, who apologized for his behavior, was infuriated after the team failed to convert a fourth down in the 4th quarter, so he ended up pushing a guy onto the ground as he made his way to the tunnel.
According to a new report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the NFL will wait for the legal process to play out before announcing a potential punishment for Adams. His case now falls under the league’s personal conduct policy.
“With misdemeanor assault charges being filed against Raiders’ WR Davante Adams, his case now falls under the NFL’s personal conduct policy, which waits for the legal process to play out. While it does, Adams will continue playing, including Sunday vs. the Texans.
Adams faces the charge after the cameraperson went to the hospital following the postgame incident. He called police to file the assault report shortly thereafter.
Adams apologized on Twitter. He explained his perspective on how the incident occurred following the game while speaking to the media.

“He ran and jumped in front of me coming off the field, and I bumped into him and kind of pushed him, and he ended up on the ground,” Adams said. “So I want to say sorry to him for that because that was just frustration mixed with him literally just running in front of me. I shouldn’t have responded that way, but that’s how I initially responded, so I want to apologize to him for that.”
A court date was set for Thursday, Nov. 10th.
