Just days before the start of the 2021 NFL season and the Las Vegas Raiders are in the news over the surprising release of a player.
According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero, the Raiders waiving second-year linebacker Tanner Muse.
It was shocking because it happened on his birthday and less than an hour after they wished him happy b-day on Twitter.
Muse missed his entire rookie season last year with a toe injury.
Tanner Muse played safety at Clemson from 2015 to 2019, where he was a two-time All-ACC selection and a third-team All-American in 2019. Along with two national titles, he registered 191 tackles, 10.0 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, seven interceptions and 14 passes defended.
