The ugly list of former first round picks for the Raiders franchise continues, as the team announced that they will be parting ways with yet another one of their top picks from recent years.
According to the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Vegas has released safety Jonathan Abram, whom they selected with the 27th overall pick in the 2019 draft.
For those keeping track that means just two of the Raiders’ six first-round picks between 2019 and 2021 remain on the team…for now, as both Josh Jacobs and Clelin Ferrell had their 5th year options declined already.
The good news is the Raiders didn’t own a first round pick in 2022 following the Davante Adams trade. So no rookies this season will have their careers ruined by the Raiders curse.
