The Las Vegas Raiders are reportedly demanding an outrageous return from the New York Jets if they want superstar wide receiver Davante Adams.
The Raiders are coming off a second straight losing and non-playoff season, and Adams expressed his frustration several times through the up-and-down 2023 campaign. As such, many wonder if the two sides will agree to a fresh start in the offseason.
With Aaron Rodgers residing New York, countless rumors have tied Adams to the Jets. These two, of course, spent nine years together with the Green Bay Packers (2014 to 2019) and led the club to four NFC Championship Games.
According to a report from Tony Pauline of Sportskeeda, the Raiders will want two first-round picks from the Jets for Adams’ services:
“Sources outside the Raiders and Jets tell me a first-round choice and third-round choice in the 2024 draft won’t be enough for the Raiders to move Adams. More likely, the Raiders will demand the Jets’ first-round picks in 2024 and 2025 in return for their All-Pro wideout. And with desperate needs on the offensive line as we head towards a draft rich with offensive tackles, many question the wisdom of giving away so much early draft capital for a receiver.”
As great as Adams is, it’s highly unlikely that the Jets would be willing to pay that price for the future Hall of Fame. The Raiders gave up their 2022 first and second-rounders to Green Bay for Adams, who’s now two years older.

You rarely see a team deal multiple first-round picks in a trade that doesn’t involve a quarterback. Throw in Adams’ hefty salary, and there’s practically zero chance that the Raiders would get two first-round picks in a trade for the All-Pro wideout.
