Derek Carr had the entire city of Las Vegas eating out of the palm of his hands after delivering a 2-0 record to start the 2020 season. Things have changed in the weeks since after the team lost back-to-back games to the Patriots and Bills.
Despite having a 113.6 quarterback rating, which is fifth-best in the NFL, Carr has lost three fumbles in two games, including a costly one in the second half of the game versus the Buffalo Bills.
Those turnovers led to a local Las Vegas newspaper taking a brual shot by calling him “butterfingers.”
Las Vegas has only forced two turnovers on defense this year, which doesn’t bode well as they get set to face the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead stadium this Sunday.
