Philadelphie Eagles star offensive lineman Lane Johnson recently revealed the league’s five best pass rushers and many couldn’t help but to notice he left off a very noticeable player.
Johnson made an appearance on Richard Sherman’s podcast and said that Myles Garrett, Maxx Crosby, T.J. Watt, Micah Parsons, and Demarcus Lawrence are the five best pass rushers in the NFL.
Garrett has posted back-to-back seasons with 15 sacks or more. Crosby had 12.5 sacks logged last season, adding to the total of 37.5 sacks so far in his first four NFL seasons.
Coming off a 2021 season in which he tied the NFL single-season sack record (22.5), TJ Watt tore his pectoral muscle in Week 1 of the 2022 regular season. Watt suited up in 10 games, compiling a career-low 5.5 sacks.
Miller, who suffered an ACL injury during a Week 12 Thanksgiving Day matchup this past season, recorded 8.0 sacks, 21 tackles, and 12 QB hits through his 11 games. Rounding out Johnson’s top five is Micah Parsons, who has made the Pro Bowl and earned first-team All-Pro honors in each of his first two years in the NFL. He recorded 65 tackles last season, down from 84 in his rookie year. However, he had no problems getting to the quarterback at a high clip, notching career highs of 13.5 sacks and 69 quarterback pressures.
One name that was noticeably absent is the 49ers reigning Defensive Player of the Year, Nick Bosa.

Bosa had an NFL-best 18.5 sacks, which ranked second in franchise history, and 48 QB hits, which was the most in the NFL since 2015. It’s safe to say that Bosa should’ve been on Johnson’s list.
Bosa is also on tap to be one of the highest-paid players on the defensive side of the ball in NFL history.
