Odell Beckham Jr. isn’t the only former player of the New York Giants who left with a salty taste in their mouth.
On the same day Beckham’s GQ interview was published in which he criticized the way the team handled his being traded, Landon Collins couldn’t even bring himself to even say the name of his former team during an interview with 106.7 The Fan in DC.
“I have something to play for, just within myself, because I haven’t finished the last two years,” Collins, now with the Redskins, said. “For that reason and just knowing what I can do, and the struggles I’ve been through with the other team I was on, I know I can be better.”
When asked if purposely avoided referring to the Giants by name, Collins was forthright.
“It’s no point,” Collins said. “It’s no point in saying their name.”
Collins, an All-Pro for the Giants in 2016 and a Pro Bowler the last three seasons, was signed by the Washington Redskins to a six-year, $84 million contract.
Collins stated at the time he was disappointed that his former team never made him a offer, because he wanted to finish his career in New York.
