Lamar Jackson seems to be ready to geta deal done now.
Jackson’s Twitter and Instagram accounts include a photo that says “I need $.”
Jackson’s base salary for the 2022 season is $23 million.
Jackson’s rookie contract is set to expire after the 2022 season, but he has made little effort to get a deal done since he represents himself.
In 12 games played, Jackson passed for 2,882 yards and threw 16 touchdowns against a career-high 13 interceptions, though he did earn Pro Bowl honors. He also suffered illness and an ankle injury that sidelined him for the final stretch of the Ravens’ season, effectively prohibiting him from making any kind of comeback.
All that said, expectations are sky-high for Lamar Jackson in 2022 when he and the Ravens are looking to make a tremendous comeback and potentially contend for a Super Bowl.
