Lamar Jackson is the head and shoulders favorite to win the league MVP in 2019. He’s come a long way from a guy who many experts considered to be a running back or an athlete who would convert to a WR when he came out of Louisville.
During the Thursday night game against the New York Jets — Jackson took it upon himself in the third quarter to tell his entire punt team to get off the field so he could go for it on 4th and 1 while they were in their own territory.
Jackson would immediately throw a 36 yard pass for a first down.
That drive would eventually lead to Jackson throwing a 33-yard TD pass.
