Some fans will do just about anything to improve their team.
One San Francisco 49ers fan is trying his best to get the attention of Lamar Jackson in hopes that his squad tries to throw money at him after he was slapped with the non-exclusive franchise tag by the Baltimore Ravens.
The 49ers fan came up with a false story of his grandma being kidnapped as he placed a photo of a woman inside what looks to be an oversized birdcage.
He wrote: “Lamar, please read this immediately. The Sinaloa cartel kidnapped my grandma while she was shopping for her ensure drink. They told her to tell her family if they ever want to see her again, they have to tell Lamar Jackson to sign with the 49ers. The cartel leader is a 49er fan.”
Jackson saw the tweet and responded:
The Ravens took back control of their contract negotiations with Lamar Jackson by placing the $32.41 million non-exclusive franchise tag on the franchise quarterback.

Jackson now is allowed to negotiate with other teams, and the Ravens are ready to make that gamble. Even if an opposing team makes an offer to Jackson, the Ravens have the right to match that proposed deal or they can obtain two first-round picks in return.
An anonymous executive has stated not many teams are willing to offer anything so they do not have to do the dirty work for the Ravens,
Jackson missed 11 games over the past two seasons with injuries. He has not had the same gaudy stats since winning the NFL MVP in 2019.
