This is the life of an NFL superstar. One day you’re on top of the world, playing at an unstoppable level with everyone telling you just how great you are. And the next day you’re being trampled on, with everyone telling about how much you suck after suffering your first loss in months.
Lamar Jackson was living that reality last night. After taking the NFL by storm and assuring himself of MVP honors with a historic regular season, the Baltimore Ravens quarterback came crashing back down to earth during the team’s Divisional Round playoff matchup with the Tennessee Titans last night.
Jackson threw two interceptions and lost a fumble during the 28-12 loss, and the critics were quick to jump all over him afterwards.
While speaking with the media, Lamar was asked what he thought about the critics who will say that he hasn’t won a playoff game, to which he replied with the following:
“I don’t really care about what they say. This is my second year in the league. Many people don’t be able to make it to the playoffs. I got a great team with me. We don’t need to worry about what other people said. We’re just gonna keep on, like I said, getting ready for next year.”
