Baltimore Ravens’ offensive players reportedly endured a frustrating practice on Friday.
According to Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic, star quarterback Lamar Jackson grew frustrated on a free blitzer play and angrily kicked the football downfield while also throwing his helmet to the ground.
On top of that, tight end Mark Andrews was unhappy after failing to draw a flag on a play involving him and safety Marcus Williams. The official flagged Andrews for unsportsmanlike conduct after the latter screamed “an expletive.”
In a surprise move, the Ravens moved on from offensive coordinator Greg Roman after the 2022 season. They replaced him with Todd Monken, who had spent the three previous years as the Georgia Bulldogs’ QBs coach and OC.
Baltimore also tried to rebuild their receiving corps by signing veterans Odell Beckham and Nelson Agholor. They also used their first-round pick (22nd overall) on Boston College wideout Zay Flowers.

The Ravens narrowly made the postseason last year with a 10-7 record despite missing Jackson for five games, but they were eliminated by the Cincinnati Bengals in the Wild Card Round. In the offseason, Jackson received a five-year extension worth $260 million.
Baltimore’s first preseason game will take place against defending NFC Champion Philadelphia Eagles on Aug. 12. Their regular season will begin against the Houston Texans on Sept. 10, followed by a Week 2 road game against the AFC North rival Cincinnati Bengals.
