Lamar Jackson has faced plenty of criticism for serving as his own agent while trying to get a long-term deal from the Baltimore Ravens.
He is now reacting to a recent report that was mentioned by ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio and Chris Simms on their PFT Live show Monday. Florio and Simms detailed that Jackson has lost various endorsement deals over the years because he lacks an agent.
“That is one of the rumors that is out there,” Simms said. “There’s been some blown marketing deals too, with a big-time shoe brand. There’s been money left on the board across the table right now by all due accounts.”
“Those are all things that happen when you have an agent running the show,” Florio said. “When it’s just the player and a family member running the show, it’s harder to replicate. It’s impossible to replicate. They can’t compete with what the best firms do.”
Jackson took to Twitter and posted a GIF of LeBron looking confused.
Either way, Jackson’s contract saga will come into full focus during the 2023 NFL offseason. He is set to be a free agent. The Ravens want to keep him on the roster, but they are said to be $100 million apart in contract negotiations.
If nothing is figured out, Baltimore may look to slap Jackson with the franchise tag, which would have a value of $32.4 million for the 2023 NFL season.

Agent or not, Jackson is poised to make a lot of money during the 2023 NFL offseason. If he stays uninjured and delivers on the field yet again, he is expected to get paid handsomely next offseason.
