The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by a final score of 27-22 on Thursday Night Football.
“Appreciate it, the GOAT,” Jackson told Brady after the Ravens’ victory.
Jackson went 27-38 through the air with over 230 passing yards to go along with a pair of touchdowns. He also added 43 yards on the ground for good measure. Jackson’s effort was impressive in the victory.
This was a moment that Jackson did not see happening ever again after Tom Brady retired this past offseason. When it seemed as though Brady was going to ride off into the sunset, the legendary signal-caller hailed Lamar Jackosn as “next.”
In a recent exclusive interview with Taylor Rooks, the Baltimore Ravens star explained why Brady made him mad.
“I don’t know, I haven’t had a 1-on-1 conversation with him, like a sit-down, man-to-man conversation with him,” Jackson told Rooks. “I felt like he was just saying I’m next to be one of the GOATs, hopefully — Super Bowl-winning quarterback. That’s what I took from it. But he didn’t retire, so I was mad I posted it.”
