Things have gone from bad to worse when it comes to Lamar Jackson. It appears the Baltimore Ravens are going into their wild-card playoff clash against their division rival without their former MVP quarterback.
This week, he missed his 17th consecutive practice on Thursday with a knee injury and is not expected to play Sunday night against the Cincinnati Bengals, according to ESPN.
Jackson would soon give an in-depth update on his health and it sounds like he won’t be ready to play anytime soon.
“Thank you everyone for your support and concerns regarding my injuries,” Jackson wrote on Twitter on Thursday. “I want to give you all an update as I am in the recovery process. I’ve suffered a PCL grade 2 sprain on the borderline of a strain 3. There is still inflammation surrounding my knee and my knee remains unstable. I’m still in good spirits, as I continue with treatments on the road to recovery. I wish I could be out there with my guys more than anything but I can’t give a 100% of myself to my guys and fans I’m still hopeful we still have a chance.”

The 26-year-old former MVP missed the Ravens’ final five regular-season games and now his status with the team is in doubt as he’s set to become a free agent after the season. The Ravens can place the franchise tag on Jackson if they do not come to terms on a new contract.
As a team, they went 2-3 without him, losing each of their last two games. In 12 games this season, Jackson threw for 2,242 yards, 17 touchdowns and seven interceptions while rushing for 764 yards and three more scores.
