Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson joined a very rare club in Thursday’s 27-22 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Jackson led the Ravens to a second consecutive victory on Thursday Night Football, tossing 238 passing yards and two touchdowns to go along with nine rushes for 43 yards. The loss marked Tom Brady’s first three-game losing streak since the 2002 season.
Not only that, but Jackson is now just the fourth quarterback to go undefeated against Brady with multiple starts, per Jeff Kerr of CBS. The other three are Jake Plummer, Brian Griese and Nick Foles.
Jackson’s first win against Brady came in Week 9 of the 2019 season on Sunday Night Football. The Ravens handed the Patriots their first loss of the season that night, soundly defeating the defending champions 37-20.
Plummer defeated Brady and the Patriots twice over a two-year span from 2005 to 2006. His Denver Broncos won two regular season meetings against New England, and they also handed Brady his first career playoff loss in the 2005 AFC Divisional Round.
Griese led the Broncos to victories over Brady and the Patriots in the 2001 and 2002 regular seasons. As for Foles, his two wins against Brady came in Super Bowl 52 and Week 5 of the 2020 season, when he was a member of the Chicago Bears.

The Buccaneers won their first two games of 2022 but have dropped five of their last six, including their last three. The three-time league MVP and seven-time Super Bowl champion has never endured a losing season as a starting quarterback, but that impressive streak appears to be in jeopardy now.
Jackson and the Ravens sit atop the AFC North with a 5-3 record, while Brady and the Bucs find themselves at a disappointing 3-5. If the Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints both win on Sunday, there will be a four-way tie for first in the NFC South heading into Week 9.
