On Tuesday, Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk cited a league source as telling him the Los Angeles Chargers were looking for a first- and a fifth-round pick in a trade for holdout RB Melvin Gordon.
The team has already given Gordon and his agent permission to seek out a trade with another, but it makes the task that much harder with the type of draft compensation the Chargers want in return.
The Philadelphia Eagles gave it quite the effort when they hilariously offered RB Jordan Howard and a swap of mid-round picks in exchange for Los Angeles sending them Gordon and taking on some of his salary, according to Albert Breer.
The Chargers, of course, turned it down.
The Chargers refuse to move off its offer of $10 million per season they sent to Gordon, while he is looking for a deal worth closer to $13 million per season.
