When the Los Angeles Rams beat the Cincinnati Bengals at SoFi Stadium to claim the franchise’s second Super Bowl, Rams fans everywhere rejoiced…
All ten of them.
Seriously, that number actually seems generous, as the Rams once again proved that they have one of the NFL’s smallest fanbases during today’s Super Bowl parade in L.A. Based on video footage from the event, either everyone forgot about the parade, or only a couple dozen really cared enough to attend.
I understand that we’re dealing with Covid and all, but even that’s not an excuse for the poor turnout. Do better, Rams fans.
L.A. claimed their second Lombardi Trophy (and their first in Los Angeles) when they defeated the Bengals, 23-20, on a late Cooper Kupp touchdown from Matthew Stafford. The Rams went all in this season, trading countless draft picks to bring in guys like Matthew Stafford and Von Miller, while also signing Odell Beckham Jr. after he was cut by the Browns. Some questioned their decision to sacrifice the future and put all their chips in the middle of the table this season, but in the end it paid off in spades.
