Nobody knew that Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals would be 5-2 through their first seven games, even after trading for elite WR Deandre Hopkins over the offseason.
What is even more unbelievable is that the Cardinals currently boast the top-ranked offense in the NFL. Kyler Murray couldn’t believe it either.
In fact, he had no clue when he reacted to that news this week.
After a reporter asked him how he feels about the Cardinals ranking No. 1 in offense, Murray turned to media relations director and asked, “Is that real?” And smiled when he was told yes.
“I didn’t know that, but I guess that means we’re doing something good. This being Week 9, we’ve got a lot of work to do. It’s a good stat, a lot of progress from last year to this year. It’s a long season, and we’ve got a lot of work to do, a long way to go.”
The No. 1 offense in the league is racking up 419.1 yards per game.
