Is the relationship between the Arizona Cardinals and Kyler Murray much better now? Did he get a new deal?
Those are just some of the questions social media is asking after Murray finally returned all photos of himself in Cardinals gear back on Instagram after initially taking them down shortly after the Pro Bowl.
The initial deletion of pictures signaled reports of dissatisfaction between the player and the team after the floundering 2021 finish, then an exchange of statements from the team and Murray.
“I play this game for the love of it, my teammates, everyone who has helped me get to this position that believed in me and to win championships,” Murray posted on Twitter and Instagram on Feb. 14.
Murray’s agent Erik Burkhardt issued a statement putting pressure on the team to offer Murray an extension before his fourth NFL season. Murray and his agent said they had “sent a detailed contract proposal to the organization” that aligns with the quarterback market, “lowers his 2022-23 salary cap number” and “most importantly represents a real commitment from the organization to see if their ultimate goals align with his.”

Now, that those pictures are back, all may be well between the two sides.
