Kyler Murray would like you to know that everything is fine between himself and the Arizona Cardinals.
Last month, Murray had social media buzzing after he removed every image and mention of the Cardinals from his pages. The Cardinals quarterback addressed the offseason drama with reporters on Thursday.
“I’m an Arizona Cardinal,” Murray said, per Arizona insider Mark McClune. “I’ve done nothing but give my all to the Cardinals and will continue to do that. So I’m not really too worried about it.”
Murray says his social media scrub was never about the Cardinals organization.
“No that was — like I said, if you’re a kid my age, you’re used to like … people take off all of their — that’s just a thing,” Murray explained. “Honestly, like I said, I took everything off of it, beside one picture. So it had nothing to do with the Cardinals or anything like that.”
Murray is entering his fourth season with the Cardinals, who selected him first overall in the 2019 NFL draft. He’s eligible for an extension on his rookie contract. In terms of a contract extension, he added he was going to focus on football and let “people who have to take care of that stuff take care of that stuff.”

His agent Erick Burkhardt made waves last week with a Twitter statement after the Las Vegas Raiders traded for wide receiver Davante Adams and signed him to a lucrative contract.
“Obviously, you’ve got the whole social media stuff and then coming out with whatever it is about the future and stuff like that,” Murray said. “But honestly, I’m happy where I’m at. I’m just being where my feet are and keeping football the main thing — like I always have.”
Last season, Murray threw for 3,787 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions in 14 games, missing three due to injury.
