Kyler Murray will find himself losing the locker room if he continues to throw his teammates under the bus like he did with his most recent comments.
The Arizona Cardinals QB explained that he has told his receivers that they “have to be awake when you play with [him]” given his ability to extend plays with his legs.
“I told guys you have to be awake when you play with me. No matter what the play is,” Murray said, via Pro Football Talk. “I have free reign to do whatever, so when you sleep and you don’t think you’re getting the ball- you can’t play like that. Everybody has to be head up, in the game, locked in and we just have to be better. We will be, but it’s frustrating when you lose and you felt like you could have played better in the game.”
However, he isn’t exactly sure how to fix the team’s issues right now.
“I wish I had the answer right now,” Murray said. “I’m not sure, besides, ‘Let’s start winning some football.’ The rest of the game is competitive. The first quarter, you can’t make anything happen. You can’t get anything going. It’s just bad football.”
Murray finished Sunday’s loss to the Rams 37-of-58 passing for 314 yards, setting a new career high in passing attempts.

Arizona dropped to 1-2 after its latest loss in Week 3 to the Rams, where the offense managed just 12 points on four field goals.
Through three weeks, Kyler Murray and the Cards haven’t been clicking and if it wasn’t for a second-half comeback against the Raiders in Week 2, they would be winless on the season.
Murray signed a massive contract extension in July that had social media buzzing because there was initially a clause that required him to study a certain amount of game film each week.
The clause was later removed after heavy discussion on social media.
