Moments ago, Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts sent shockwaves through the Twitterverse when he tweeted, “It’s about to get scary in Atlanta.”
Most people saw it as a sign that Deshaun Watson could be headed to the ATL, as he and Pitts share an agent. Based on the timing and the connection between the two, it just seemed like the 2021 fourth-overall pick knew something that we all didn’t.
Well, as it turns out, we’ve all been played.
I’m not sure if Pitts realized the poor timing of his tweet, but he quickly deleted it once he realized how pretty much everyone with a Twitter account was interpreting it. And it appears as though he felt that deleting the tweet still wasn’t enough, has he also offered up an explanation shortly after:
So there you have it. No, Kyle Pitts is not breaking news before all of the big guns. He’s just happy that his team brought in another guy who shares the same representation as him, in two-time Pro Bowl corner Casey Hayward.
