Wednesday was a tough day for Kyle Long.
The Chicago Bears veteran guard was promptly thrown out of practice by Bears head coach Matt Nagy after he got into a fight with rookie defensive lineman Jalen Dalton.
It was not only the fighting that got him tossed, but the fact that he ripped Dalton’s helmet off his head, started beating him with it, and then tossed into the air for a reported retaliation for a block from Dalton against Long on an interception return.
Oh, and he also threw up on th sidelines a coupel of times.
“It’s the competitive nature of the guys,” Nagy said. “Yesterday to me was a little bit more of a pillow fight. Today I thought was a little bit, just like I said, it’s disappointing.

“That starts with us as coaches, making sure we lead these guys the right way. And we also make sure that, you know, they understand that that can’t happen. It just can’t happen. It’s not going to happen, but we’ll handle that internally. I’ll have man-to-man, one-on-one discussions with everybody to make sure it’s handled the right way.”
Wednesday was the 3rd-straight day the Bears had a scuffle in practice.
