The NFLPA recently stated its desire to prohibit media members from conducting post-game interviews outside the locker room. 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk fully supports the initiative.
“Over the past three years, the NFLPA has tried to work with the NFL and Pro Football Writers of America to move media interviews out of locker rooms. However, there has been little willingness to collaborate on a new solution. Players feel that locker room interviews invade their privacy and are uncomfortable. This isn’t about limiting media access but about respecting players’ privacy and dignity,” read the statement.
Juszczyk later tweeted about a team reporter’s strange and inappropriate behavior in the locker room.
“Maybe we can keep @grantcohn from always hanging around our lockers while we’re changing,” he said.
Of course, it is a part of the rules that players should be available to the media in a reasonable time after the game has ended, and that’s why these interviews frequently happen in the locker room, as that’s the first place the players go to.
However, as Juszczyk pointed out, there should be a reasonable amount of privacy for the players, considering some are still cooling down or changing at that time.

Kyle Juszczyk Is Not Your Typical Fullback
Fullbacks have almost gone completely extinct on NFL rosters.
However, Juszczyk has been a staple of the San Francisco offense since he joined the team in 2017.
Unlike most fullbacks, he does much more than block, as he’s reeled in 172 receptions for 1,772 yards and 11 touchdowns since 2017. He’s also scored four rushing touchdowns on 186 yards in that time.
It would be a shame if Juszczyk truly is the last great fullback in the NFL, but it’s certainly a possibility.
