Rashard Mendenhall’s comment about race and football was off-base, but it did lead to some hilarious comments.
Given that the Pro Bowl doesn’t get as much publicity and fanfare as the Super Bowl, even if it is like the NBA’s All-Star Weekend, six-year NFL veteran, Mendenhall tweeted earlier this month that he wanted an All-Black vs. All-White bowl.
Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton made it clear on the team plane that he has heard conversations about his race but made it clear that he was taking his talents to the Black team.
“I’m not even White.”
Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton strengthened his resume for defensive player of the year with a series of big plays Monday before falling to the ground and clutching his knee late in Baltimore’s 33-19 win over the 49ers.
Hamilton was eventually able to walk off to the injury tent but spent the rest of the game standing on the sidelines. The Ravens are optimistic the injury is not serious.

Hamilton had two interceptions, three pass defenses, and five tackles in the game.
A second-year player, Hamilton has emerged as one of the best players on the Ravens’ defense and would be a huge loss if he is out for a significant amount of time.
