The NFL Network seemed to have changed their entire landscape from debates that make sense to shock value over the past few days. That shock value began when they actually put four-time Super Bowl champion Joe Montana outside the top-10 quarterbacks that have ever played in the National Football League.
It coninued this week with Kurt Warner.
The former NFL QB had a list of quarterbacks to choose from as he got ready to list his top-5 going into the 2019 NFL season. Somehow, the reigning MVP Patrick Mahomes ended up 3rd on this list.
Yes, Mahomes had his first full year in 2018, but he also put up some insane numbers as he threw for over 5,000 yards and for 50 TD’s with only 12 interceptions.
Many experts will tell you, they won’t judge a QB until his second year, because now the league has a full season to look at what he did and prepare, and if that QB continues to dominate, then he enters the discussion as one of the best.
Sometimes the proof is in the pudding and Mahomes is clearly going to be great for a very long time.
