I look back at photos from that time period…I was skin and bones…
I think I look so much better now. And you guys, that was just stress. That was being in a really unhappy marriage, quite honestly. Literally, I was so unhappy and I had way too much on my plate.”

The 41-year-old Cutler played in the NFL from 2006 to 2017, earning a Pro Bowl nod with the Denver Broncos in the 2008 season. A year later, he was traded to the Bears in a blockbuster deal that brought Kyle Orton over to Mile High City.
Jay Cutler Had An Up-And-Down NFL Career
Jay Cutler retired with a 62.0 completion percentage, 35,133 passing yards, 227 touchdowns and 160 interceptions. He helped Chicago to the NFC North division crown in 2010 and a trip to the conference title game, where they fell to the Green Bay Packers.

But he helped the Bears to a pair of 10-win seasons. And seeing how much the Bears have failed to find a capable long-term answer at QB, it’s safe to say that Cutler was far from the problem in Windy City.
