Kliff Kingsbury is back in the NFL.
Former Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury was expected to be named the Las Vegas Raiders’ new offensive coordinator, but he withdrew his name from consideration.
On Sunday, he made his decision to go elsewhere.
Kingsbury is headed to the Washington Commanders.
He drew plenty of interest from teams this offseason, interviewing with the Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago Bears before initially agreeing to call plays for the Raiders.

Kingsbury served as an offensive analyst for USC this past season after he was fired by Arizona last year. He went 28-37-1 during four seasons with the Cardinals and made the playoffs in 2021 after going 11-6.
Arizona finished in last place in the NFC West with a 4-13 record during the 2022 season. Before his NFL job, Kingsbury served as the head coach at Texas Tech, and offensive coordinator at Texas A&M the year Johnny Manziel won the Heisman Trophy.
Now, Kingsbury has an opportunity to coach a new rookie quarterback for the Commanders.
