K.J. Osborn was looking for a flag on this play. And when he got it, he let the official know that he appreciated it.
During a first quarter touchdown drive, Osborn did his part to set the Vikings up for the score by taking a red zone pass and gaining some yards before taking a late hit out of bounds.
Osborn immediately signaled for the official to throw the flag on Lions cornerback Jeff Okudah, and when he calls were answered, he gave the flag-throwing official a smack on the butt.
Perhaps Osborn should have given the ref another slap on the butt for not flagging him for putting his hands on an official.
The Vikings would go on to cap the drive off with a touchdown on a one-yard run by running back Dalvin Cook—who broke a Lions defender’s ankles in the process.
