In the aftermath of Kirk Cousins’ season-ending injury, the Vikings quarterback is being praised on social media.
Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins tore his Achilles in Sunday’s victory over the Packers, an MRI revealed on Monday. It came at the worst time as he and the team were finally figuring out how to string some wins together and get back into the playoff race.
People are sad for Cousins but they are also praising him for attending a Vikings’ Kids Club event on Monday night. Footage shows Cousins signing some autographs and speaking with some younger Vikings fans at last night’s trick-or-treat trail.

Cousins was injured in the fourth quarter of Minnesota’s 24-10 win, having to be carted to the locker room. It stands as the first significant injury of Cousins’ 12-season career.
The only other healthy QB on the Vikings roster is rookie Jaren Hall, a fifth-round BYU product who threw his first NFL passes against Green Bay in Week 8. This is not the ideal scenario for the Vikings for the remainder of the season
Cousins now ends his 2023 season having completed 69.5 percent of his passes for 2,331 yards with 18 touchdowns and five interceptions.
