Could Kirk Cousins be on the move?
Aaron Rodgers is out for the season due to a torn Achilles tendon and Jets coach Robert Saleh has been clear that Zach Wilson will be New York’s starting quarterback for the rest of the season. However, we have seen Wilson’s play that has resulted in him being benched multiple times just last year.
We are now hearing major rumors that the team should go out and possibly do a trade for Kirk Cousins.

The idea was initially floated by former Jets linebacker Bart Scott, who proposed that the team should trade its 2024 first-round pick to the Vikings in order to bring the veteran QB aboard.

Robert Saleh said Monday that Zach Wilson, the second overall pick of the 2021 draft who’s been so ineffective that the Jets pivoted to Rodgers, will take the reins for now. The Minnesota Vikings are 0-2 after a frustrating pair of losses to open the 2023 season. Cousins has played well despite the team’s record, with 708 passing yards and six touchdowns to open the season.
The reigning NFC North champions might be looking at a down year so making a trade to secure draft picks might be the route they want to go so they can get younger at QB and better at other positions.
The Vikings have repeatedly said with their actions and words that 2023 could be Kirk Cousins’ last season as their quarterback, and the Jets are in the market for immediate QB help after Aaron Rodgers’ stunning season-ending injury.
The time may be now for both franchises to make a move.
