The Minnesota Vikings’ third straight win on Sunday afternoon against the Green Bay Packers came at a giant cost.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, starting quarterback Kirk Cousins suffered an Achilles injury. The 35-year-old will undergo an MRI.
Cousins was injured on a non-contact play in the fourth quarter and was seen limping to the Vikings’ sideline. There was immediate concern that he suffered a torn Achilles, but we’ll have to wait and see what the MRI says.
Cousins had a strong outing against the Vikings’ archrivals, completing 23 pass attempts for 274 yards and a pair of touchdowns in Minny’s 24-10 victory.
