Kirk Cousins is leaving the Minnesota Vikings and has wasted very little time finding a new team.
According to Mike McCartney, the quarterback is set to join the Atlanta Falcons on a four-year deal.
While Cousins has been criticized for his failure to win big games or lead his teams on deep playoff runs, he was still thought to be one of the most sought-after veterans in the NFL this offseason and is considered to still have a lot of value.

Cousins won’t be able to sign a contract with the team until free agency kicks off on Wednesday, but it appears the new era in Atlanta is getting off to a bold, new start, with the Falcons having hired Raheem Morris as their head coach earlier this year.

Cousins was playing very well in 2023 before a torn Achilles tendon ruled him out for the rest of the season during the fourth quarter of a Week 8 fixture against the Green Bay Packers. The injury cast doubt over his future given that he was headed into free agency as a 36-year-old QB coming off of a devastating injury.
Even so, he’s set to open a new chapter in Atlanta and he just might get that playoff run everyone’s been asking for.
