We’re at the weird time of the year where an NFL prospect’s height and hand size become major topics of discussion.
Kenny Pickett has been dinged for his hand size during the NFL draft process. First he declined to have it measured at the Senior Bowl and the reason given was because he was double-jointed.
Pickett’s hands measured 8 1/2 inches at the NFL scouting combine, but things changed drastically when Pickett’s hand measurements grew at his pro day, coming in at a whopping 8 5/8.
On Tuesday, one day after the University of Pittsburgh product concluded his pro day workout, his fiancée Amy Paternoster made light of the small-hand chatter on Instagram.
“Look at this funny tweet about your hands,” Paternoster wrote alongside a photo of herself laughing as she held the phone in Pickett’s direction.

The 23-year-old quarterback later replied, “Always keeping me updated!”
Pickett, who is expected to be a first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, revealed he had his hand size improve from the combine to Pro-day.
“The stretches work,” Pickett said. “It’s the reason why I’ve been doing them. If it helped getting an eighth of an inch, I’ll take it.”
Regardless of where Pickett lands in the draft, 2022 has already been a life-changing year for the former Pitt Panther. In January, he announced his engagement to Paternoster, a Princeton University senior. And in just a month, he’ll officially become a millionaire professional football player.
