Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett had his SUV stolen this week while the team’s playbook was in the backseat.
That is according to WTAE’s Marcie Cipriani, who reports that the QB was making an appearance for a radio interview at a car dealership near Pittsburgh on Wednesday and left his 2023 Genesis in the parking lot, where it was stolen.
Fortunately for Kenny, his panic was short-lived as the police didn’t take very long to recover the vehicle and the playbook.
The thief somehow thought it a good idea to leave his own vehicle at the dealership, so cops were able to retrieve Pickett’s Genesis a mere 30 minutes later as they ran the plates of the vehicle left in the lot. A male individual was arrested after the stolen vehicle was found at his house.
A Reasonable Theory
We can’t help but wonder if Ben Roethlisberger is responsible for this.
The former Steelers star recently admitted he wanted Pickett to fail after he was drafted. The current team QB was a guest on Big Ben’s Footbahlin Podcast when he discovered how his predecessor really felt about him.

“I’m going to be sure transparent about this. I’m going to get blasted, I probably shouldn’t say this,” Roethlisberger said. “Early on, I didn’t want you to succeed. … That’s selfishness in me, and I feel sorry for that.”
Who knows? Roethlisberger could still have it in for Pickett and tried setting him back a bit by ridding him of his playbook and car, only the thief just wasn’t that smart.
