Steelers fans cheered like crazy when Mitch Trubisky got benched to start the second half against the New York Jets.
Kenny Pickett came in, threw his first pass…and it got intercepted.
It’s not the greatest start to the young man’s career, although you could probably place most of the blame on Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool, who appeared to have the ball in his hands.
Despite the rough start, the good news for Pittsburgh fans is that Pickett has been able to rebound rather nicely, leading his team on a couple of touchdown drives that he capped off himself by running it into the end zone.
