The Pittsburgh Steelers’ young quarterback, Kenny Pickett, has had a challenging week filled with rumors and unexpected social media drama.
Based on what happens in Week 18 against the Ravens, the Steelers could be playing at least one more game should they qualify for the postseason.
However, once that possible postseason run comes to an end, questions will arise about the status of Kenny Pickett and his standing with the team.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Pittsburgh Steelers still believe in him.
“My understanding is the organization does still believe in Kenny Pickett and in no way wants to move on from him after the season. Still a ton of confidence that he can be a franchise starter, it’s really just a matter of playing right now the quarterback that gives them the best chance.”
The Steelers came into 2023 with Pickett as their starting quarterback. Since then, he has played in 12 games, passing for 2,070 yards, six touchdowns, and four interceptions.

Pickett has suffered multiple injuries this season, with his worst being in Week 13 which was a high ankle sprain for which he subsequently underwent surgery, missing multiple weeks.
Pickett is in just his second season after being drafted in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Since being drafted, he has passed for 4,474 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions in 25 games. He has also rushed for 291 yards and four touchdowns.
The Pittsburgh Steelers‘ season has been one with ups and downs. Despite all of that, they have secured yet another winning season.
