The Indianapolis Colts are mulling cornerback Kenny Moore’s role for the upcoming matchup against the New Orleans Saints in Week 8, but he could very well see himself on the move to a contending team just before the trade deadline.
The trade deadline is fast approaching and there is a rumor that the Philadelphia Eagles “really like” Colts Pro Bowl CB Kenny Moore as GM Howie Roseman is said to be very active on the phone.
The Eagles could really use his help as their passing defense is ranked 18th in the league as they give up 227 yards through the air a game. Philly owns the league’s top-ranked run defense, allowing just 62.9 yards per game. Last year, this unit finished tied for 16th as a run-stopping group.
This past Sunday, Moore registered 10 tackles (seven solo), including 1.5 sacks, in Sunday’s 39-38 loss to the Browns.
He had his most productive game of his season as he recorded double-digit tackles for the first time. The 28-year-old now has 46 tackles (34 solo), including 1.5 sacks, and an interception in seven games this season.
Despite the many yards they give up through the air, the Eagles are tied for the best record in the league at 6-1 and are currently in first place in the NFC East.
