Kelly Stafford, the wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, has lashed out at the media for spreading stories suggesting she might have cancer.
A number of publications, including ours, used quotes from Kelly in which she claimed she was afraid she might have the disease after getting tests done because of stomach discomfort.
Speaking on a recent episode of her podcast, ‘The Morning After with Kelly Stafford’, she said the following:
“I feel like my stomach’s not great. In the back of my mind, I’m thinking I have cancer. That’s where my mind goes because all of a sudden, things are starting to hurt that should be totally fine. And again, this could all be totally just in my head.”
Kelly revealed having undergone tests and waiting on the results.
She has since taken to Instagram to declare she does not have cancer, also criticizing journalists.

“There is a bunch circulating right now and want to reiterate that I DO NOT HAVE CANCER,” she wrote.
“If journalists actually took time to check facts these days, they would know this.
I’m infuriated. Most the time I wouldn’t care what people wrote because it didn’t matter.
THIS MATTERS.
“This matters because it takes away from the people who are fighting this horrible disease.. fighting to live another day, fighting to be there with the ones they love, fighting 24/7. So PLEASE send your prayers to them. I will reiterate it again, I do not have cancer and I have never had cancer.”
“I’m so sorry again for the ones who are fighting,” she added. “And to you so called journalists out there, be better. And stop using me as click bait because nfl camp is starting back.”
Well, we’re glad that’s not what it is.
