As the 2018 season progressed closer to the postseason, the NFL wanted to make sure to have a halftime performer in place to delight the fans in Atlanta for Super Bowl 53.
That presented a problem as many musicians kept their loyalty with former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Popular RnB singer Rihanna turned them down and when Maroon 5 agreed to do it, they tried to have Cardi B come along, but she also wanted nothing to do with it.
TMZ recently caught up with 1/3 of the iconic Destiny’s Child group, Kelly Rowland, as she made her way through the airport and asked her about Gladys Knight agreeing to sing the National Anthem. She first hesitated to say anything, but when she was asked if she would sign the Anthem, she stated she would have nothing to do with it.
