If there was ever a time for Melvin Gordon to come back, it is right now as the team is currently at 1-2 on the season.
On Wednesday night, the three-month Melvin Gordon saga was said to be nearing its end when it was revealed that he was ending his holdout and returning to work.
Gordon will not play in the team’s matchup against Miami on Sunday, but he should be ready to go the following week.
It didn’t matter to Keenan Allen, he was just happy to see his teammate as he delivered an emotional response upon seeing him walk into the locker room.
Gordon needed to return before Week 10 in order to qualify for free agency next season, having missed three weeks of action already. He’ll likely lose out on roughly $1M of his $5.6M 2019 salary.
