The Dallas Cowboys made a shocking signing this week when they brought on former Bengals QB Andy Dalton to a one-year deal worth up to $7 million that includes $3 million guaranteed.
It was shocking to say the least, considering that Dallas has Dak Prescott clearly entrenched as their starting quarterback.
Prescott is not going to lose his job, so it appears Dalton will easily become the No. 2 QB on the depth chart and that is an issue for Kavon Frazier.
The former Cowboys DB, who signed with the Miami Dolphins this offseason, took to Twitter and appeared to call out the franchise for their disrespect of backup QB, Cooper Rush.
Rush could very well see his tenure come to an end after the team signed Andy Dalton to be Dak Prescott’s backup Saturday. The undrafted free agent out of Central Michigan in 2017 has held down the No. 2 QB spot behind Prescott but has only attempted three regular-season passes in three years.
With the signing of Dalton and the addition of 2020 seventh-round pick Ben DiNucci, new coach Mike McCarthy might want to only carry 3 QB’s and that could leave Rush on the outside looking in.

After the Cowboys made the signing of Dalton official on Monday, Rush was indeed waived from the roster.
