The Kansas City Chiefs are already a dangerous team, and now, with the possible return of a star player, they might be even scarier.
Chiefs wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown isn’t back yet, but it sounds like he might be getting much closer to getting back on the field.
Head coach Andy Reid did not give a specific date for Brown’s return to practice, but the coach offered an encouraging update.
“He’s getting close,” Reid said Wednesday, via Pete Sweeney of arrowheadpride.com. “He’s champing at the bit to get back out there, but he’s got to visit with the doctor to make sure he gets clearance there.”

The Kansas City Chiefs wideout injured his sternoclavicular joint on his first play of the preseason, which required surgery and a long rehab.
As of right now, the Chiefs are targeting Week 16 or Week 17 for Brown’s return.

The Kansas City Chiefs took care of business in Week 14, winning over the Los Angeles Chargers and locking up the AFC West.
That means the reigning Super Bowl champions now have a guaranteed home playoff game, but they helped their case in the AFC standings.
The Chiefs are 12-1, and with the Bills losing to the Rams, they have a clear path to secure that top seed.
A two-win advantage gives Patrick Mahomes and company the inside edge on a first-round bye and essentially does away with Buffalo’s head-to-head tiebreaker advantage.
