Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker had a brief message for Americans following the shocking attempt on Donald Trump’s life.
The former United States President was speaking at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday when a shooter fired multiple shots, with one of them hitting him in the right ear. While Trump was able to stand right back up and pump a fist into the air, a spectator wasn’t so lucky.
The shooter, who was killed by a Secret Service sniper, has been identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania.

“Pray for our country,” he wrote in his first post since last October.
“Praying for you too sir. Be strong,” a user replied.
“Thank you Harrison! We’re all praying for him – and for brave warriors like you,” wrote another.
Some of the comments weren’t in agreeance, however.
“Because prayers have always worked,” someone else said. “News flash, they don’t. Everyone always offers up thoughts and prayers but not actually action. So yeah I guess prayers for the country because that will make it all better.”
The FBI’s investigation into the shooting remains ongoing.
