At this time of year, the weather is very likely to play a factor in the NFL playoffs. Especially when the Buffalo Bills are doing the hosting.
This evening, the Bills will welcome the Kansas City Chiefs to Highmark Stadium for they latest edition of this bitter AFC rivalry. This time, it’s for a spot in the AFC Championship game against the Baltimore Ravens next Sunday.
Heading into this matchup, there were questions as to how the weather might factor in, as Buffalo has been hit with a couple of major snowstorms over the past week or so.
Thankfully for the players, coaches, and any fans who plan on making the trip to Highmark Stadium for today’s game, the conditions look perfect — at least as far as Buffalo winters go.
Based on this video from the NFL Network’s James Palmer, the sun is out in Buffalo, there’s not a cloud in the sky, and the stadium is ready to host what should be some epic playoff football.
Now, all of this is not to say that it won’t be cold in Orchard Park. The Weather Network is currently calling for temperatures of around 21 degrees by kickoff, with a feels-like temperature of 9 degrees.
