It looks like the people of Kansas City are starting to sweat a bit.
After starting the season 4-0, the Chiefs ran into a Indianapolis Colts team that dominated them throughout their match-up and gave them their first loss of the season, and at Arrowhead Stadium no less. During that game, QB Patrick Mahomes could be seen limping quite a bit after taking a few shots to his leg from his opponent and from a teammate.
Things didn’t get any better as the Houston Texans would come into Arrowhead the following week and also walk out with a victory. Chiefs fans were not only concerned about the losing streak but about the health of Mahomes.
That prompted Asbury United Methodist Church in Prairie Village, Kansas to come together and hold a prayer service focused on Mahomes’ ankle sprain.
“With the last two games, we kind of thought that they may need some type of help,” said Asbury United Methodist Church facilities director Dave Burton, via WDAF Fox 4 Kansas City. “We knew that his ankle was injured, so we decided to possibly have a healing service to help him heal that ankle quicker.”
