Kadarius Toney caught a touchdown in last year’s Super Bowl, but it appears he’ll spend this year’s inactive after a rapid fall from grace.
In a since-deleted Instagram story, the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver stated his recent rant about the team was altered using artificial intelligence.
Before the AFC Championship Game against the Baltimore Ravens, Toney was ruled out with a hip injury. He was not going down quietly as he took to Instagram Live and dropped multiple curse words and stated the Chiefs were lying about his injury status.
Following the rant, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said the injury isn’t “made up.”
The 25-year-old receiver needs to get it together because he poses a threat to the Chiefs winning their third Super Bowl in five years.

The Chiefs traded third- and sixth-round picks to the New York Giants for Toney last season. In Super Bowl LVII, the former first-round pick excelled, catching a TD and returning a punt for 65 yards.
In 13 games this past regular season, he recorded 27 receptions for 169 yards and one TD.
